I love getting to know as much as I can about the support, fit, and comfort of my product. My first purchase from Parfait by Affinitas, was the Casey Plunge. I needed an everyday beige colored bra, and that's what the Casey has been perfect for.
First Impressions
When first pulling the bra from its packaging I thought, "not an impressive shade, but look at the beautiful lace details. When putting it on my mind was redirected to the fit, a fit that I hadn't felt before. It was very firm, yet flexible with my body, and my posture had changed. Once I got a look in the mirror, it was obvious that my bust line had shifted upward, I was impressed with my new silhouette.
The Fit
On the other hand, the cups on the Casey were gaping at times, and I later found that the cups did run large on all customers. So I would definitely size down in the cup, and possibly up in the band on this particular style. Now that I'm going into month 4 wearing the Casey, I can say its worn wonderfully, and I've worn it a lot! It has stretched enough that I can adjust to the second setting, yet still wear on the last setting for those bloated days. If you can get three months of wear on each setting, you're looking at 9 months of true support, not something you can get from just any bra. The straps feel as they did when I purchased it, stretchy ,yet firm. The bra band is made of a semi- sheer mesh that has proven to be very comfy and supportive. The Casey has soft side boning that keeps the girls up front and center. The plunging cut can also create nice cleavage while the cups are smooth enough to wear under thin tops. It's a versatile piece with great support and shape. I'm now waiting to see if they bring back the baby blue Casey, fingers crossed.
Peace. Love. Lingerie.
Quick Update: New "Nude" shade and strap material for CASEY PLUNGE!
The Casey has been given a makeover in the last month! It is now in a much more attractive shade, a darker beige called "European Nude", and shiny straps that no lady would mind peeking out from her top. Did the fit change? No, and yes. The cups are identical in fit and materials used. The bra still creates a great rounded shape and very nice cleavage also. The straps however are completely different, more rigid material with a bit of roughness on the edge. I believe this roughness will soften with the first wash. (For any of those who own the "Kelly", the straps are very similar.)
